Pella Windows and Doors of Central IL helps U.S. veterans receive an honorable farewell

Pella Windows and Doors is proud to support the military men and women that keep our nation safe. When those brave Americans pass away (either in combat or after they return from their service), we believe it is our obligation to ensure they receive recognition and an honorable burial. That is why Pella Windows and Doors of Evansville is proud to support Operation Honor Guard.

Operation Honor Guard is a non-profit organization founded in 2013. Its objective is to provide honorable funerals for veterans and service members in the local Evansville, Central Illinois and Quad Cities area. Many members of the U.S. military family lack the resources necessary to receive the fitting farewell they have earned. Operation Honor Guard supplements those expenses to ensure that these heroes are respectfully honored for their sacrifice.

Pella Windows and Doors’ Mike Marry recently presented Operation Honor Guard with a check for $5,000 and became a corporate sponsor for this important organization. “I think we all know that regardless what is going on in our country (politically), we know that our vets deserve our respect, and this is an organization that does that.” Marry knows first-hand about the sacrifices that our military families make. “My family has a history of military service, plus we have many Pella employees that are either veterans themselves or have relatives in the military. Anyone that has ever been to a military funeral knows what it means to that family when we show appreciation for their loved one’s service.”
